Responsible Battery Coalition (RBC) and Keep Prince William Beautiful (KPWB) are partnering on a pilot initiative designed to recover more used vehicle batteries and to boost local community cleanup efforts. RBC is supporting Keep Prince William Beautiful cleanups on  Monday, Oct. 8, and Saturday, Nov. 17.

On Monday, Oct. 8, (Columbus Day), a community clean-up will be held from 9:00 a. m. to 12:00 noon. The cleanup begins at Tackett’s Mill Shopping Center and cleans approximately five miles (each way) along Old Bridge Road. Supervisor Ruth M. Anderson (Occoquan District)  is hosting. There is a second RBC-KPWB community cleanup event on Saturday, Nov. 17 at Veterans Park in Woodbridge. That event will be hosted by Supervisor Frank J. Principi. More information will be provided closer to that date. The cleanup effort is expected to focus on U.S. Route 1.
