Kelly Gardner, supervisor of Student Activities, has been recognized by The National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) as a Certified Athletic Administrator (CAA).

To earn this distinction, Gardner demonstrated the highest level of knowledge and expertise in the field of interscholastic athletic administration. The voluntary certification process included a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s educational background, experience and professional contributions, as well as a rigorous, comprehensive written examination.

Gardner is one of an elite group of interscholastic athletic administrators nationwide to attain this level of professionalism. “The Certified Athletic Administrator certification supports the Prince William County School’s goal of being world class,” says Gardner. “We understand that athletics is an extension of a dynamic educational program, and it is a goal to have all our athletic administrators obtain CAA status.”

Gardner joins four others in Prince William County Schools who previously earned designation as Certified Athletic Administrators:

Johnathan Bukva – Reagan Middle School
Bryan Parke – Forest Park High School
Mike Payne – Gar-Field High School
Brad Qualls – Patriot High School

The NIAAA is a national professional organization consisting of all 50 state athletic administrator associations and more than 10,000 individual members.
