In response to questions and concerns, Lake Ridge Elementary School will host a school construction information meeting at 6:30 p. m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5, in the school cafeteria. The school is located at 11970 Hedges Run Drive in Woodbridge.

The school will soon start construction to add 13 classrooms meant to better accommodate current and future student enrollment, as well as eliminate the use of portable classrooms. At this meeting, the Prince William County Public Schools Office of Facilities Services will provide an update on the planned construction, including the timeline and how the planned expansion will address many of the concerns raised by stakeholders. The meeting will include a structured time for raising questions or sharing constructive input.

The planned addition will provide restrooms in the primary classrooms, a science lab, resource rooms, more playground space and additional parking. The addition is scheduled for completion prior to the 2019-20 school year. Every Lake Ridge Elementary School parent should attend.

Following the meeting, a Frequently Asked Question document will be posted to the school website to help keep stakeholders informed. The document will be updated as needed.
