The right general purpose lane of I-395 South between the Seminary Road interchange (Exit 4) and Duke Street interchange (Exit 5) is scheduled to be closed from approximately 8:00 p. m. Tuesday, Sept. 4 until 10:00 a. m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, weather permitting. This lane closure is needed to enable crews to continue bridge rehabilitation work. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes or postpone their trips to avoid delays.
The bridge rehabilitation work is part of VDOT’s bridge deck improvement project along the I-395 corridor, and is being done in coordination with the 395 Express Lanes Project. Similar lane closures will be needed in the coming months to complete this work.
