Lane Closures on Westbound Leesburg Pike at Tyco Road Next Three Weekends

Final paving work and road configuration work on Route 7 at Tyco Road will cause major lane closures in Tysons Corner over the next three weekends. Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project crews work to complete road work at this busy intersection.

Closures will be in effect from Friday nights at 10 p.m. through Monday mornings at 5 a.m.

Details of the work that will take place as follows:
Weekend of October 17 – Full Closure of Tyco Road

The two right thru lanes and the right turn lane of westbound Route 7 at Tyco Road and all lanes of Tyco Road at Route 7 will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday, October 17 through 5 a.m., Monday, October 20.

Also, the left center lane on westbound Route 7 will be closed from Friday night, October 17 at 11 p.m. through 6 a.m. Saturday morning October 18, and again from 11 p.m., Saturday night, through 7 a.m. Sunday, October 19.

Traffic will not be permitted to access Tyco Road from Route 7 at this time. To access Tyco Road, traffic will need to seek alternates routes, such as Spring Hill Road.

Traffic will not be permitted to access Tyco Road from Westwood Center Drive or from eastbound Route 7 at the Tyco Road intersection. Traffic will be permitted to access westbound Route 7 from Westwood Center Drive.

Traffic from the Tysons Sheraton Hotel, Walmart and other businesses on Westwood Center Drive will not be allowed to cross Route 7 to Tyco Road. Drivers using Tyco Road at the Spring Hill Road intersection will be directed by signage and police.

Weekend of October 24

The two center thru lanes of westbound Route 7 at Tyco Road and the two thru lanes of Tyco Road at Route 7 will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday, October 24 and reopen at 5 a.m., Monday, October 27. The right turn lane from westbound Route 7 to Tyco Road and the right turn lane of Tyco Road to Route 7 will be open at this time.

Also, the left center lane on westbound Route 7 will be closed from 11 p.m., Friday night, October 24, through 6 a.m. Saturday morning, October 25, and again at 11 p.m., Saturday night, through 7 a.m. Sunday morning October 26.

Traffic will not be permitted access to Tyco Road from Westwood Center Drive or from eastbound Route 7 at the Tyco Road intersection. Traffic will be permitted to access westbound Route 7 from Westwood Center Drive.

Weekend of October 24th

Weekend of October 31

The two left thru lanes of westbound Route 7 at Tyco Road and center thru lanes of Tyco Road will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday, October 31 and reopen at 5 a.m., Monday, November 3.

Traffic will not be permitted to access Tyco Road from eastbound Route 7. Drivers from eastbound Route 7 must use Spring Hill Road to access Tyco Road.

During this time, travelers on Westwood Center Drive will not be permitted to access westbound Route 7 or Tyco Road, and should seek alternate routes such as Spring Hill Road.
