The Lake Ridge area has experienced an increase in Larceny from Autos since the beginning of December 2017. Some vehicles were unlocked with items found missing. In one incident, a window was smashed to gain entry. If you notice any unusual activity (people, vehicles out of place, strange or loud noises, etc.) report it to the police immediately.

Take Out Valuables
If you can leave your valuables at home, do it. Otherwise, when you get to your
destination, take your valuables with you and don’t leave anything of value sitting in plain view. If you have to leave them in your automobile, put them in your trunk before you get to your destination. This includes firearms! Please do not leave a firearm in your vehicle!!
Lock Your Vehicle
Always lock your vehicle even when parked in your own driveway!
Close Doors and Windows
An open door or window allows a thief a quick and quiet way to enter your automobile.
Take the time to make sure you closed everything.
