Historic Manassas, Inc., and the City of Manassas announced their continued Lights on for Heroes and Hope effort.
Lights put up in late 2020 will remain around trees and on downtown buildings as a way to say thank you to first responders, frontline workers and other individuals who have worked hard to keep everyone safe throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Keeping the lights on for a little longer is a way to recognize those who have helped us during the pandemic and to instill a message of hope,” said Debbie Haight, executive director of Historic Manassas, Inc.
“We hope that they continue to stay safe, and we hope that we can all be back together enjoying downtown Manassas soon,” Haight added.
The lights and the banner across Center Street will remain up until March 15.
