Bristow — Slots are quickly being filled at Linton Hall School’s newly expanded preschool program. Principal Liz Poole announced the expansion today with a ribbon cutting ceremony scheduled for September 19 at 10:00am.
“We have been overwhelmed by the positive response from the community and are thrilled to be able to offer a Benedictine preschool to families in and near western Prince William County,” said Mrs. Poole. “Clearly, there was a need for more options for preschool-aged children and our unique program has attracted a very enthusiastic group of youngsters and their families.”
The Benedictine Sisters of Virginia have owned and operated Linton Hall School since 1922, adapting to the changing needs of the community by first offering a Catholic, all-male military boarding school and then transitioning into a co-ed day school with students in grades K through 8. A pre-K class was added in 2003 with great success. The preschool expansion opens another successful chapter in the school’s history.
Throughout its 90-year history, Linton Hall School has remained steadfastly true to its Benedictine tradition of educating the whole person – body, mind and spirit. Students are encouraged to support as well as challenge one another in academic, athletic and spiritual pursuits. Individuality, creativity and diversity are celebrated at Linton Hall School with parents, faculty, staff and students working together to creative an inclusive atmosphere. Small class sizes and warm family atmosphere are the two comments most often refrained by parents when asked what they like most about the school.
The newly expanded preschool program, also known as “Little Sprouts” is being led by two dynamic women – Michelle Adzima and Heather Lattig – with over 35 years of experience in child development and education. After having successfully run Little Graces Preschool out of Grace Episcopal Church in The Plains for 10 years, the two embraced the opportunity to manage the preschool program at Linton Hall School.

We are delighted to lead the program that will help young children to develop the skills necessary to be lifelong learners.”
Welcoming children aged 2 ½ to 5 years, the preschool program’s age-appropriate curriculum fosters growth in all areas, including religion, math, language arts, social studies, and science. Enriching programs in science, music and movement, art, Spanish and technology along with special family programs and events throughout the year will help each child develop to his/her full potential.
