Little Shop of Horrors is opening at the Kellar Theater at the Center for the Arts in Manassas, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p. m., April 8-23. Presented by Rooftop Productions, this vintage musical comedy is based on a 1960s classic film featuring an animated plant which has a taste for humans. When Seymour Krelborn, an assistant at a floral shop, happens upon this strange little plant, he affectionately names it “Audrey II” after his long time crush at the shop. Little does he know that it will develop an unquenchable thirst for human blood as it grows bigger and more demanding. PWL The carnivorous plant promises fame and fortune to Seymour, but at what cost?
Little Shop of Horrors, directed by Ted Ballard with book and lyrics by Howard Ashman and music by Alan Menken promises fun and laughter with early rock and Motown hits that include “Somewhere That’s Green”, “Suddenly Seymour”, “Skid Row”, and the title song “Little Shop of Horrors.” Get your tickets today at center-for-the-arts.org for just $18 for adults and $15 for students and seniors 65+.
