The Women’s Center
The Women’s Center has been provided two grants to support reduced fee mental health services (as low as $5 per session) to PWC residents from the Potomac Health Foundation and Sentara. The attached flyer has more information.
Walmart’s Local Community Grant
Walmart‘s local community grants are awarded through an open application process and provide funding directly from Walmart and Sam’s Club facilities to local organizations in the U.S. Grants range from $250 to $5,000. More information here and here.
Cooling Assistance Application Period Underway
The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) will provide cooling assistance to qualifying households this year through the Virginia Energy Assistance Program (EAP). Applications are currently being accepted and can be submitted until Tuesday, Aug. 15.
Applications (available in English and Spanish) can be submitted to a local department of social services, online via CommonHelp, or by calling 1-855-635-4370. For more information, click here.
