Prince William County Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism is looking to hire people for summer recreation programs. This includes lifeguards, concession workers, camp counselors, cashiers and guest services workers to take tickets, work in retail sales. People interested in working these jobs should consider attending one of the following hiring events:
Splashdown Job Fair
The Splashdown Job Fair will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 29, at Stonewall Jackson High School, 8820 Rixlew Lane, Manassas. Hiring managers will be accepting applications for cashiers, concession and guest services workers for Splashdown only.
Lifeguard Hiring Event
A lifeguard hiring event will be held from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, at the Chinn Aquatics and Fitness Center 13025 Chinn Park Drive, Woodbridge. Hiring managers will be interviewing for lifeguard positions for all county pools. Those applying for lifeguard positions should first apply online at pwcparks.org/jobs before attending either of the lifeguard hiring events. Applicants will be required to take a swim test and should bring their swimsuits.
There will be another Splashdown Job Fair from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, at Sinclair Elementary School, 7801 Garner Drive, Manassas. Hiring managers will be taking applications for all concession, cashier and guest services positions for the Splashdown and Waterworks waterparks.
On Thursday, March 19, there will be a lifeguard hiring event 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Freedom Aquatics and Fitness Center, 9100 Freedom Center Blvd., Manassas. Hiring managers will be interviewing lifeguards positions for all county pools. Those applying for lifeguard positions should first apply online at pwcparks.org/jobs before attending either of the lifeguard hiring events. Applicants will be required to take a swim test and should bring their swimsuits.

Parks, Recreation and Tourism Communications Manager Trevor Johnson said the jobs are perfect for people looking for a summer gig. “Our seasonal staff play an important role in our operations each year, helping us create a family-friendly, inclusive community experience in our parks. These jobs are perfect for high school or college students, teachers, retirees, or anyone who has availability during the summer and wants to be part of a fun team.”
