Sean Porter, the owner of Loveless Porter Architects, has partnered with Old Town Strong and Tummy YumYum to raise funds for those in need. For every purchase of the limited time “Old Town Strong & Loveless Porter” Candied Apple, Sean Porter has pledged five dollars toward feeding the hungry and providing for the less fortunate this winter.
“We first teamed up with Old Town Strong (OTS) doing Sinistral Brewing’s glasses ‘giving by the glass’ as Historic Manassas Inc’s rent relief fund. Then [it was]Eavesdrop‘s fundraiser for the ‘Safe Haven Project.’ So when I wanted to do something in December for feeding and clothing the homeless in Manassas, I reached out to Greg Cook of OTS,” says Porter of his sponsorship. “We decided to commit our efforts to Tummy Yum-Yum’s ‘Operation No Tummy Hungry’ campaign. The owner’s story and commitment to the needy was something I wanted to be a part of.”
Tummy YumYum’s owner, Sharita Rouse, says her goal is to sell 500 these candied apples. Sales will “help to provide 25 boxes of food for needy families during the holidays.” Her vision is to use her business to help others challenged by homelessness and poverty.
You can help support this worthy endeavor by purchasing the “Old Town Strong & Loveless Porter” Candied Apple at $8.95 each. Orders can be placed in-store or online at tummy-yumyum.com/online-ordering. Bulk orders and shipping are available.
