Business Spotlight: Duncan Aviation

Welcome Duncan Aviation to the City of Manassas. Headquartered in Lincoln, Nebraska, Duncan Aviation is a premier aircraft service provider specializing in government and business operators. Its 28 Satellite Repair Stations are located across the country providing clients with easier access to experienced avionics technicians.
The newest location at Manassas Regional Airport will operate out of Chantilly Air’s state-of-the-art Jet Center and offer services like major and minor airframe inspections, engine maintenance, major retrofits for cabin and cockpit systems, full paint and interior services, and preowned aircraft sales and acquisitions. Staffing for the new station is underway, and the company is planning to start serving customers in the Mid-Atlantic region by April 2021.
The Manassas Regional Airport is the busiest general aviation airport in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The addition of Duncan Aviation’s Satellite Repair Station reinforces Manassas Regional Airport as a premier airport for government, business and private travel.

Partner Spotlight: The SkillSource Group

The SkillSource Group is a non-profit organization serving Northern Virginia employers and job seekers. It offers a wide range of free job placement, training and educational services to employers, job seekers and incumbent workers.
For the last year the City has partnered with SkillSource to enhance their ability to serve businesses and residents in Manassas most impacted by COVID-19. The Incumbent Work Training (IWT) program, in particular, offers partial reimbursement for businesses to train and certify existing employees. The City will pay the difference for 100 percent reimbursement for completed trainings between now and June 30, 2021. Learn More.
