The Department of Economic Development is using Federal funds to support local businesses in hiring, training and retraining their workforce.  The City has expanded partnerships with Prince William County and workforce development partners at Virginia CareerWorks, the SkillSource Group and Northern Virginia Community College to enhance and develop programs that will help you hire new employees today and prepare your workforce for the future.
The City of Manassas is the recipient of CARES Act funds dedicated to helping businesses and residents recover from the loss of jobs business due to closures and operating restrictions. Most of these programs are at NO cost to you.  Take a hard look at these programs and take advantage of them.  You will be surprised by the benefits being offered.

Interested in training current employees?

The Incumbent Worker Training Initiative provides funding to City of Manassas employers who want to enhance the skills of their current employees. These resources can help build workers’ confidence and expertise, while also helping you avoid layoffs.
In order to guarantee reimbursement, all training must be completed by Dec. 31, 2020.
