The City of Manassas Park invites residents and visitors to get out, get involved, and enjoy a weekend of events across the city on Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25. From live entertainment and shopping local vendors to outdoor recreation and educational opportunities, the weekend offers multiple opportunities to take part. You’ll find that there is something for everyone!
The weekend begins Friday evening with the return of a community favorite:
Friday, April 24 | 6 to 9 p.m. | Last Fridays – Arbor Day Celebration | Park Central Plaza
Kick off the Last Fridays event series with an Arbor Day celebration! Enjoy an evening of community fun featuring live entertainment, planter decorating, tree naming, and an outdoor movie, The Lorax, starting at dusk. The first 150 guests will receive free popcorn. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets. Free parking is available at the Manassas Park VRE parking garage.

Saturday, April 25 | 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. | Manassas Park Farmers Market | City Hall Parking Lot
Spend your morning at the Farmers Market with local vendors offering hot foods, baked goods, handmade items, and more! Live music returns this weekend, making it a great way to kick-start your Saturday.
Saturday, April 25 | 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. | Document Shredding |Department of Public Works, 331 Manassas Drive
Manassas Park residents can take advantage of free document shredding services to safely dispose of sensitive materials. This service is for residents only; no commercial shredding permitted. Additional details are available on the City’s website.
Saturday, April 25 | 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Kite Festival & Celebrate Trails Day | Signal Hill Park
Celebrate the 13th Annual Kite Festival at Signal Hill Park! Bring your own kite or purchase one on-site while supplies last. Guests are welcome to turn the day into a picnic or enjoy a full day at the park before or after the event.
Saturday, April 25 | 2 to 4 p.m. | Egg Drop Contest | Signal Hill Park
Wrap up the day with a fun and interactive egg drop contest hosted by the Manassas Park City Library and Fire Rescue. Participants should bring their own raw egg and safest egg contraption to test their design. Prizes will be awarded.
