Ja’Scotta B. Jefferson, a 2015 graduate of Manassas Park High School and a junior at Virginia State University, is in the running for the Miss Virginia State University title.
Ja’Scotta said she enjoys helping others reach their goals. She is a Mass Communications major with a minor in Spanish. “This past winter, I served the homeless; I was in awe of such an amazing group of people,” she said. “My experience was rather touching and rewarding.”
An honor roll student, Ja’Scotta recently started an internship with Congressman A. Donald McEachin in the Richmond District Office, performing administrative work and working with the Communications Director. “They constantly remind me how ecstatic they are to have me, with my optimistic attitude and contagious smile,” she marvels.
