Naval Aircrewman (Helicopter) 3rd Class Bryan Morch receives recognition as Warrior of the Day from Capt. Ryan B. Scholl on the bridge of aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75).

Morch received the Warrior of the day award on July 8, 2016 serving on board USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). He was selected from a crew of more than 2,000.

Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group is currently on an eight-month combat deployment in support of maritime security operations and theatre security cooperation efforts.

Morch has served in the Navy for over two and a half years as a naval aircrewman (helicopter).  He is a 2006 Seton High School graduate and received his bachelors at Marymount University 2010. He is currently serving with Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Five (HSC-5).

HSC-5, known as the “Nightdippers”, is an aviation unit of the U. S. Navy located at Naval Air Station Norfolk, Va. The squadron is assigned to Carrier Air Wing Seven and flies the SH-60F helicopter.
