March starts the spring season and there are a variety of events you can find throughout the region to get out and enjoy! St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations:
For St. Patrick’s Day, join the PWC Historic Preservation team at Ben Lomond Historic Site and the Pat White Center at Ben Lomond as they make traditional Irish cuisine as it would have been made in the days before electricity and pasteurization.
St. Patrick’s Day at Sinistral Brewing Company means good beer, good music & good times. There will be sing-alongs. There will be bagpipes. There will be Irish dancers, and yes, there will be lots of green.
The Party’s at Ornery Beer Company for St. Patrick’s Day!! Tapping their newest IRISH STOUT at 12:00 Noon and visitors can Steal the Glass: First 300 guests keep their special St. Paddy’s Day Pint Glass!!
3/17 St. Patrick’s Day Party at BadWolf Brewing Co. (Manassas – Kao Circle)
Specialty Cask, Irish Dancers, Phat Yummies Food Truck: Phat Yummies Quesadilla Cantina On Wheels & Kilt Contest at 8:30 p. m. – come dressed in your best outfit!!
Join the Brew Republic team on Saturday, March 17, starting at 9:00 a. m. for kegs and eggs in the tap room! They will be serving Irish breakfast (eggs, hash browns, sausage, bacon, etc.) and we’ll also be serving non-breakfast Irish fare throughout the day.
Spend the day on the Potomac River enjoying live music, drinks & food specials to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in style at Tim’s Rivershore.
Wineries, Breweries & Distilleries:
Join the Effingham Manor Winery team to celebrate National Pig Day – Starting Thursday March 1st, and going all weekend long, they we will be handing out pork sliders and mini BLTs for everyone that stop by. Donations will also be taken throughout the weekend and a portion of the proceeds from all sales will go to ASPCA.
3/3 Beer Boot Camp 101 at BadWolf Brewing Co. (Manassas – Kao Circle)
Beer Boot Camp 101. Come to the Brew House to learn about beer styles and how those different styles of beer come about. Hosted by their head brewer and owner, guests will enjoy a flight of beer while learning from them, asking questions and becoming knowledgeable on different beer styles.
Join Chef Sergio Cabrera, owner of Cafe Havana as he prepares a four-course dinner featuring La Grange Wines (including some pre-releases!). The Winemaker, Seth Chambers, will be there to chat with guests about the wines features with the menu too.
Join WheelHouse Mind Body Studio founders Kelly and Alyson for Detox to Retox at the Republic! Our monthly beer and yoga class is a basic 60 minute Vinyasa Flow suitable for beginners and experienced students.
Other Attraction Events:
Free Ooen house to tour Rockledge Mansion and check the new location of 13 Magickal Moons. Event will also feature performances by The Bull Run Troubadors, a Barbershop Harmony Chorus. This is a family and pet friendly event.
Looking for a unique way to spend a Sunday? Come spend it with goats, alpacas, llamas, and chickens on our farm. Every Sunday, Little Goat Farm at the Lake will be open for tours from 12:00-2:00 p. m.
Manassas Ballet Theatre starts 2018 with a superstar of classical ballets, Swan Lake. Join the international cast of dancers as they weave the tale of the Swan Queen Odette, her love Prince Siegried, and the terrible curse cast by the evil sorcerer Von Rothbart. For the ballet aficionado and newcomer alike, Swan Lake is an absolute must-see on the ballet bucket list.
Opha M. Johnson was the first woman to join the Marine Corps during WWI. During this anniversary year of WWI celebrate Opha M. Johnson and all the women who came after her during Women’s History Month. Hands on activities offered throughout the event.
3/14 Breakfast with the Bunny at Potomac Mills Mall (Woodbridge)
Thursday, March 15 at 8:30 a. m. in the Food Court at Potomac Mills Mall visitors are welcome to come out for an exclusive Breakfast with The Bunny Event! The event will include breakfast from Matchbox, a special St. Patrick’s Day performance from the Boyle School of Irish Dance, craft with Abrakadoodle, and of course…a magical visit from the Easter Bunny himself!
3/17 Cockpit Point Civil War Park Tours (Woodbridge)
Join the PWC Historic Preservation team on a special tour of Prince William County’s newest historic park, Cockpit Point Civil War Park. Site includes rare Civil War era fortifications that were part of the Confederate Blockade of the Potomac River in 1861-1862. Please call for more info and to make a reservation in advance.
Come out for breakfast with the Easter Bunny at Uptown Alley! Easter egg hunt, balloon artists, live animal petting, and of course, meet the Easter Bunny!
Spend the day exploring the 3.5 mile Coastal Shore line at Leesylvania State Park. Hikers will enjoy lunch around a bonfire at the Breakwater Store directly following the hike!
3/24 Ben Lomond Eggstravaganza! (Manassas)
Egg Hunts will be held at 10:30 a. m., 11:30 a. m., 12:30 p. m., and 1:30 p. m. at Ben Lomond historic site. Each hunt will be separated by age group. Kids will also have the chance to make some new animal friends, tour the house, and enjoy historic hands-on activities while visiting.
3/25 Easter Bunny Pet Photos at Potomac Mills Mall (Woodbridge)
Hop over to Potomac Mills Grand Court Sunday, March 25 from 6:30-8:30 p. m. for pet photos with the Easter Bunny! *Reservations are required.
Come visit the Weems-Botts Museum annex to learn about colonial history through hands-on activities during Spring break: Tuesday 3/27 – Candle Making and Butter Making, Wednesday 3/28 – Sewing and Embroidery, Thursday 3/29 – Colonial Writing Activities. 3/31 Full Moon Bonfire at Tim’s Rivershore (Dumfries)
Make plans to come down for breathtaking views of the full “Pink Moon” rising over the Potomac! Relax on the beach near our large bonfire while enjoying dinner and live music.
Hunt for prize-filled Easter eggs. Kids can color eggs, play games and make crafts. Learn about the history of the Easter egg and why it became a holiday tradition.
Businesses throughout this historic mill town will display creative dioramas using marshmallow Peeps! Visitors will judge each diorama, vote for their favorite & enter the drawing to win a Peep Swag Bag. The Easter Bunny will hop through town and pass out eggs to the kids and free peep hats, while supplies last.
3/31 Rippon Lodge Easter Egg Hunt (Woodbridge)
Eggs have been hidden among the trees, bushes and vines at Rippon Lodge, and we need you help to find them! Along with the search for eggs, crafts, games and tours of the historic house make this a day the whole family will enjoy.

Festival of Spring at Burnside Farms (Tulips) (Nokesville)
This spring, visitors can view thousands upon thousands of tulips at Burnside Farms new location in Nokesville. More than one million tulips are planted and is a MUST SEE attraction every year.
