Acting & Improvisation Jr. (Ages 7 to 11)

Acting & Improvisation (Ages 12 to 18)

Monday/Wednesday, March 15 to 24, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Got the acting bug? While perhaps not as easy as accomplished actors make it seem, acting builds on techniques that you can learn and practice. In this class, you will learn many Techniques so important to auditioning and developing not only your actin abilities, but your self confidence. This is your chance to explore audition basics, warm-up routines, script work, improvisation, scene study and character study. Action! Register Now!

Spring Break – The Actor in You (Ages 7 to 11)

Monday to Thursday, March 29 to April 1, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Register by March 22 for 10% tuition discount for non members and a 25% tuition discount for members. This four-day workshop develops acting fundamentals- the use of the voice, face and body, character and scene work, and acting games that develop imagination and self-confidence. Actors will also have an opportunity to gain tips on how to audition. While perfect for the beginner thespian, this session is also useful to those actor who have some experience and want to build new skills. Sign Up Here!

Spring Break – The Actor in You (Ages 12 to 8)

Monday to Thursday, March 29 to April 1, 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Register by March 22 for 10% tuition discount for non members and a 25% tuition discount for members. This workshop will explore a broad range of acting experience, improvisation and scene work, with the opportunity to develop characters and allow them to flourish in a variety of theatrical situations and short skits. Students will also work on improving their audition skills, essential for future school and community theatre auditions. The session is perfect for honing the skills of the confident young actor, but newcomers are welcome to join the fun in developing their talents and gaining the resources to pursue the theatre. Hangin’ with the Bard – An Adventure with Shakespeare (Ages 12 to 18)

Monday/Wednesday, April 5 to 28, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Register by March 29 for 10% tuition discount for non members and a 25% tuition discount for members. Act up with the best known playwright in history as love, comedy, tragedy, and vengeance take the stage in this four-week workshop on Shakespeare for teens. Even reality TV, sci-fi, and the history channel can’t match the drama of Will Shakespeare’s classic adventures. Bring your imagination as you step back in time and meet the many fascinating characters he created as you move from the printed page to the stage. Center Stage (Ages 7 to 11)

Tuesday/Thursday April 6 to 29, 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. For those who enjoy performing, this outstanding theatre workshop provides an opportunity to take the stage while learning acting basics and valuable theatre skills. We will be working on a short play; the final performance will be recorded for family and friends to enjoy on YouTube.
