matchboxfoodgroup is thrilled to announce the latest expansion of matchbox American Kitchen + Spirit. The new restaurant will open its doors to the public on Thursday, January 28 at 5:00 p.m. at the Potomac Mills development (2706 Potomac Mills Circle; 844-712-1369). This will be the third Northern Virginia location for the matchbox brand, which the group expects to lead its exciting, national growth through 2020.

matchbox will make its Woodbridge debut in Potomac Mills with a multi-level dining space and a large outdoor patio. With upward of 350 seats, the restaurant features a vibrant, yet comfortable atmosphere where guests can expect great service and refined, casual food. Utilizing true materials like salvaged woods, raw steel, and stone, brings high-energy to the spacious restaurant. Other design elements include floating ‘box’ booths, giving patrons an exciting open view of happenings below, and reclaimed tables and wood for stair treads.
Diners can expect a wide variety of menu items sure to please every taste as appetizer offerings include spicy tuna tartar tacos and hot artichoke + smashed garlic dip. Lunchtime guests can enjoy sandwiches such as the prime rib French dip, whipped ricotta fettuccini, and entrée salads featuring seared tuna, greens, and crunchy ramen. PWL Dinner guests will have a number of new choices including beet + burrata salad, prime NY strip, and PBR fish + chips. Regulars will find familiarity in favorites such as the 3.6.9. mini burgers and signature artisanal pizzas.
matchbox Potomac Mills will serve lunch and dinner Monday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. with last seating at 10:30 p.m., Friday from 11:00 a.m. with last seating at 11:30 p.m., Saturday from 10:00 a.m. with last seating at 11:30 p.m., and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. with last seating at 10:30 p.m. Brunch will also be served Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Enjoy happy hour specials on select wines, drafts, cocktails and bites Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
