Celebrate your mental health during May! If you feel like you need a “check-up from the neck up,” visit the Suicide Prevention Alliance of Northern Virginia’s website for a free screening. They provide a variety of resources focused on mental health and suicide prevention on their website. On Monday, May 24, the network will host a workshop highlighting how community members “thrived through COVID-19.”

The Community Services New Horizons Behavioral Health Wellness Team invites individuals to join them in recognizing and participating in Resilience Week and National Prevention Week.

Combine the mental health and physical health journey by joining the Community Services, the Prevention Coalition of Greater Prince William and the Prince William Trails Association in getting outside for mental health in May and June. Visit some of the local trails, and be on the lookout for encouraging and informative mental health signs. Snap a picture to share outdoor experiences. More information is available on the Community Services and Prevention Coalition websites.
