Congresswoman Barbara Comstock
Congresswoman Barbara Comstock (R-VA) released the following statement after the House passed its surface transportation reauthorization package by a vote of 363-64:
“The House has now done its part to give local and state governments much-needed stability in terms of their transportation needs by passing this bipartisan transportation bill today. In Northern Virginia, we are always striving to find innovative solutions to address our transportation woes. This legislation works toward improving our roads, bridges, and infrastructure so that families and goods can move more freely throughout the country. I am honored that this bill includes a number of provisions that I have championed. My provisions focus on developing new technologies, understanding and mitigating congestion, and getting Metro’s house in order. Overall, this legislation works to solve major problems in a common sense way.”
