MurLarkey Distilled Spirits is excited to partner with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) on its first annual Bottoms Up to the Bay campaign. The distillery will donate one dollar per bottle sold from Thursday, Nov. 1, through Monday, Dec. 31. The donations will help fund CBF programs aiming to “Save the Bay” through environmental advocacy, education and awareness building, and bay cleanup initiatives.
“After living in Virginia for years, my family has come to appreciate the beauty of the Chesapeake Bay and its importance to everyone in the mid-Atlantic and the greater world,” said Tom Murray, MurLarkey CEO. “Realizing the Bay needs our help, our team at MurLarkey all felt strongly about giving back to this part of our community. We found an amazing partner in the Chesapeake Bay Foundation to help preserve this natural wonder.”
“It takes action from the whole region to Save the Bay and we’re happy to partner with businesses such as MurLarkey Distilled Spirits that step up and contribute to the long-term cleanup effort,” said Taryn Dwan, Director of Stewardship and Events for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. “We’ll use the funds raised from this partnership to help grow our advocacy, restoration, and education programs to continue CBF’s work to improve the environment of the Chesapeake Bay.”
Fans of MurLarkey are invited to purchase bottles at select Virginia ABC stores, Maryland Total Wine & More locations, or onsite at the distillery. Your purchase will help further CBF’s mission of pollution reduction throughout the Chesapeake’s six-state, 64,000-square-mile watershed, which is home to more than 18 million people and 3,000 species of plants and animals.
