MurLarkey Distilled Spirits, LLC, a Virginia-based craft distillery, was awarded five medals for their craft spirits at the American Distilling Institute’s (ADI) Annual Craft Spirits Conference and Vendor Expo in Baltimore, Maryland on April 4, 2017. The prestigious awards add to the collection of honors the distillery has won in just over one year of business.
Almost the entire product line of MurLarkey medaled in the competition. These highly acclaimed awards include:
- GOLD: Divine Clarity Vodka – Grain-to-Glass Vodka – Neutral Character
- Bronze: ImaGINation Gin – Contemporary Grain-to-Glass Gin
- Bronze: Brutality Special Reserve Single Barrel Whiskey – Corn Whiskey
- Bronze: Cincerity Whiskey with All-Natural Cinnamon – Flavored Whiskey
- Bronze: Justice White Whiskey – White Whiskey
MurLarkey’s fast-paced growth has garnered attention from top organizations and events in the distilling industry, and adding ADI to that list is a big honor. Since getting their start in January 2016, the company has also maintained a dedication to a Farm-to-Flask™ philosophy – creating all their products with the highest quality organic raw and natural ingredients. Winning two awards in the Grain-to-Glass categories reinforces MurLarkey’s regard for high quality locally-sourced ingredients that embody rich tastes of craft spirits.
“Winning these awards is such an honor for MurLarkey,” said co-founder Mike Larkin. “The success we have seen in just a short amount of time is largely due to commitment and hard work from our exceptional team.”
The Virginia-based distillery is a family owned and operated business that is also supported by a few close, longtime friends. Their commitment to true, small-batch craft spirit production has led to distribution expansion that now includes dozens of restaurants and bars throughout Virginia and Washington D.C., as well as over 80 Virginia ABC stores throughout the state.
“We’re very proud of what we have accomplished over the past year, and we’re not going to slow down anytime soon. We have exciting things happening in our distillery and we look forward to what the next year brings,” said MurLarkey CEO and co-founder Tom Murray.
