The Museum will reopen to the public on April 1. April events at the Museum are listed below:

April 1, 9:00 a. m. —  The Museum reopens after a three-month closure. During the closure the Museum installed an SBD-3 Dauntless dive-bomber and a new Vietnam War tableau that features a UH-34D helicopter. PWL  Visitors are invited to come and see the new additions to Leatherneck Gallery!

April 9, 12:00-3:00 p. m. – Family Day–Month of the Military Child Celebration

Celebrate the month of the military child with fun activities, games, and crafts. All are welcome!

Location: Leatherneck Gallery  

April 17, 1:00 p. m. – History in Your Hands (HIYH) — Orienteering

HIYH is a program for visitors of all ages who are blind or have low vision. HIYH is an opportunity to interact with the collections through tactile exploration of selected objects, and through verbal description, tactile graphics, and other materials for artifacts that cannot be touched.

Trained Museum volunteers and Visitor Services staff lead these events. There is no fee for this program, but pre-registration is required. Registration for the monthly program closes 1 week prior to the event. April 20, 9:00 a. m. – 5:00 p. m. –   Geography Day

Geography is all around us and is used in ways far beyond a traditional paper map. Explore this world at the National Museum of the Marine Corps.
Location:  Inside and Outside of the Museum
