National Museum of the Marine Corps Announces Third Annual National Student Art Competition

The National Museum of the Marine Corps invites students from across the country to participate in the 3rd Annual National Student Art Competition with submissions opening Oct. 1. This year’s theme is “Veterans,” with a focus on portraying what the word means to Marines. Sample subject ideas include Marines and their families, Marines in U.S. history, patriotism, brotherhood, and combat support.

The competition is open to all private, public and homeschooled students. Submissions are judged in five grade-based categories: K-6, 7-9, 10-12, and special needs grades K-6 and 7-12. Entries must be 2D and submitted digitally, beginning Oct. 1, 2021 and no later than Oct. 15, 2021. Only the first  50 submissions in each category will be accepted for consideration. Winners will receive a certificate and a cash prize sponsored by the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation.
