Prince William County Public Schools has hired Albert Ciarochi III as associate superintendent for support services. Ciarochi has more than 25 years of experience in education, most recently serving the past six years as assistant superintendent of operations for Henrico County Public Schools. He previously served six years as director of operations, also in Henrico County.
Associate Superintendent for Support Services Ciarochi will oversee facilities, construction, planning, energy management, school bus transportation, school food and nutrition services, and custodial services.
“I am thrilled that Mr. Ciarochi is joining our team,” said Steve Walts, Superintendent of Schools. “He brings more than 10 years of experience managing facilities and support services in a large school division, and I look forward to witnessing how his experience will positively impact several critical services offered by our School Division.”
Ciarochi also brings experience as a school principal, serving five years as principal of Highland Springs High School in Henrico. He also served as an assistant principal and teacher.
Ciarochi received a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from Old Dominion University, and a master’s degree in education from Virginia Commonwealth University. He is currently working on his doctorate at VCU.
He will start his new job in PWCS on April 22.
