Milk & Honey Opens at Wellington Station
Milk & Honey Southern Inspired Kitchen has officially opened at 10088 Dumfries Road in Wellington Station, adding a popular regional restaurant to Manassas’ growing dining scene. Part of the Thompson Restaurants portfolio, Milk & Honey has built a following for Southern-inspired favorites including chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, signature brunch dishes and cocktails.
The full-service concept expands the City’s options for brunch, lunch, and dinner while adding a fresh draw to Wellington Station. With locations across the region and a growing fan base, Milk & Honey adds new energy to the shopping center and even more variety to Manassas’ evolving restaurant landscape.
Gathered on Center Adds a New Retail Concept to Historic Downtown
Historic Downtown Manassas welcomes Gathered on Center, a new retail co-op at 9082 Center Street led by entrepreneurs Terri Johnson, Karrisa Knight, and Alexandra Striemer, bringing multiple creative small businesses together under one roof. Shoppers can expect an evolving mix of locally curated goods, gifts and experiences, including Striemer’s Bejeweled Era permanent jewelry.
The concept also reflects the collaborative spirit behind Historic Downtown’s independent business community. When Black Metal Mercantile expanded into a larger neighboring storefront, owner Deron Blevins worked closely with the Gathered team to help set them up for success in Black Metal Mercantile’s former space—another example of established Downtown businesses supporting new concepts and contributing to the district’s continued evolution.
Gathered adds another distinctive destination to a Downtown with a track record of attracting highly localized retail concepts—and growing excitement and an economy capable of supporting entrepreneurs willing to try something different.

540 Volleyball Academy Expands to Manassas
540 Volleyball Academy has expanded into Manassas, establishing its new Northern Virginia location at 10682 Wakeman Court through a strategic partnership with American Volleyball Club. The growing organization offers competitive travel teams, camps, clinics, and player development opportunities for athletes ranging from beginners to advanced competitors.
The expansion connects local families with 540’s established coaching and development programs while continuing a longstanding volleyball presence in the community. With youth sports increasingly important to where families choose to live and spend their time, 540 adds another high-quality recreational amenity in Manassas—supporting active lifestyles, youth development, and the City’s growing lineup of specialized sports and training opportunities.
2026 Annual CTE Career & Conversations Day
Osbourn High School is hosting Career & Conversations Day on Sept. 24 for businesses and students looking for jobs and/or internships.
Students will mingle with company representatives in a café style round robin. Participating businesses are encouraged to bring promotional materials to communicate the company’s mission and values.
Osbourn High School hosts several advanced STEM and liberal arts programs that line up well with the City of Manassas’ diverse employer base. Companies are strongly encouraged to engage with the school’s Career and Technical Education program to enhance these types of events and other hands-on learning opportunities!
