Welcoming a Charming and Magical Holiday Season in Downtown Manassas

So many exciting things are coming up now through the holidays – it’s more than you can shake a candy cane at! The lights will soon be hung on buildings and trees. The cool air is settling in ahead of ice skating opening up at the Harris Pavilion (Nov. 21). The shops are gearing up for all of the Pink Friday, Black Friday, and Shop Small Saturday shoppers. HMI will host horse drawn carriage rides, the Santa train, an amazing Christmas parade, and so much more!

Old Town Manassas is your charming one stop destination for the holidays. Celebrate, shop, wine & dine, and slip on some skates for a little ice-skating adventure at Harris Pavilion. Join us for a magical time in Downtown Manassas! Make sure to follow HMI on Facebook, Instagram, and/or keep up with the latest event information at historicmanassas.org.

Virginia Main Street Feature

Two board members, Liz Barahona and Nikki Merkle, were featured on the Virginia Main Street website this week!

In May of 2025 they started their “Pass the Mic” series of videos where they visit various businesses in Downtown Manassas to find out a bit more about the business and the owners. At the end the video, they “pass the mic” to the next business and it creates a great video that fosters community exposure for those shops.

Manassas ti ringrazia Italia! (Manassas thanks you, Italy!)

An Italian travel writer by the name of Leonardo Felician recently made his way through the Prince William County / Manassas area, and he wrote all about his travels in an article titled “Manassas, where yesterday’s history meets today’s hospitality.” You can read about his journey by using the “translate” feature that should appear in your browser.

A special thank you to Prince William County Tourism for hosting Mr. Felician.
