We invite you to participate in our First Tuesdays program! First Tuesdays are a way to continue to build relationships with nonprofit leaders in the local community. These meetings provide insight and awareness of local needs and help us find ways to address needs working together. Each meeting is held with only one organization at time.
You and your organization can register now to attend a First Tuesday session starting in Sept. 2018 through June 2019. These sessions take place on the first Tuesday of the month (with the exception of holidays), and start at 9:30, 10:30, and 11:30 a. m. Registrations are on a first-come, first-served basis, and are for organizations that have not attended a First Tuesday in the past. Register here.
Specific questions will be addressed during the meeting, such as:
- What challenges are you encountering in your work?
- What are the biggest issues facing your clients? What are the social structures/barriers that make it difficult for your clients to be socially mobile?
- What are the biggest issues facing our region?
- What is new or exciting that is happening at your organization? Something that distinguishes you from others?
Organizations we have met with in the past include Northern Virginia Meditation Service, the Lorton Community Action Center, Loudoun Youth Inc., All Ages Read Together, Northern Virginia Therapeutic Riding Program, Project Mend-A-House, Northern Virginia Family Service, and more.
