Participate in Giving through our Local Veterans Campaign Network: Northern Virginia Veterans Association is now a part of the Combined Federal Campaign and the Combined Virginia Campaign. These campaigns allow federal and state government employees to donate to the organization in an easy and effective way.
The Combined Federal Campaign and the Combined Virginia Campaign allow employees to donate to nonprofit organizations through their paycheck. The Combined Federal Campaign website states the program is “employee-focused, cost-efficient, and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all.” The Combined Virginia Campaign allows employees to “designate their gift by giving a one-time donation, or through payroll deduction.” The Combined Federal Campaign also allows employees the option to do both. The Combined Federal Campaign number for Northern Virginia Veterans Association is #53781 and the Combined Virginia Campaign number is #00006.
Northern Virginia Veterans Association is taking part in Giving Tuesday, which government employees may regard as a reason to donate. NOVA Veterans Association is asking that employees consider taking five dollars a week or five dollars a month from their paycheck. This would be like the price of a cup of coffee going to the organization. President and CEO Angela McConnell says, “We appreciate you donating to support your local veterans and their families. It’s essential for us to comprehensively provide services in a way that relieves frustrations and provides personal care. Your donations allow us to continue this very distinct and critical mission. Thank you.” Giving Tuesday takes place on Nov. 28, and the Combined Federal Campaign lasts from Sept. 1 to Dec. 15. The Combined Virginia Campaign runs from Oct. 1 through December. The purpose of Giving Tuesday, as its website describes, is “bringing people together around the values of service and giving back.” Donate easily on our homepage (PayPal account not required) novavets.org/about/our-team/
NOVA Veterans Association is a one-stop hands-on nonprofit that guides military families and veterans, at no cost, to the local community resources that best meet their needs. It provides comprehensive support to veterans from healthcare to housing to employment. The association case-manages and follows up to relieve frustration and confusion so veterans are taken care of in a caring and effective way.
