NOVA Veterans Association Announces New Team Members

Northern Virginia Veterans Association announced new members to the Board of Directors and Advisory Council. Kerry D. Kirk is the newest member on the Board of Directors, Rich L. Anderson is the new Veteran Affairs Advisor, and Jeffrey K. Sapp is the new Nonprofit Advisor.

Kerry D. Kirk

Kerry D. Kirk is a Managing Director at Cambridge Associates, LLC, a global institutional investment firm. He’s a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute and the University of Virginia Darden Graduate School of Business. He served as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1985-1993, attaining the rank of Captain, with deployments to the Far East, Europe, the Mediterranean, the Middle East, the Caribbean, and Scandinavia.

Rich Anderson

Rich L. Anderson graduated from Virginia Tech and served for 30 years in the United States Air Force before retiring as a colonel in 2009. During his military career, Rich served as a Titan II intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) combat crew commander and as a Minuteman II ICBM squadron operations officer. His headquarters tours included service at HQ Strategic Air Command, HQ US Atlantic Command, HQ US Pacific Command, HQ US Air Force, and the Office of the Secretary of Defense.

Jeffrey K. Sapp

Jeffrey K. Sapp is a 30-year U.S. Navy Veteran currently serving as a Business & Leadership Consultant. Jeffrey’s Navy experience includes serving as the Commanding Officer of six different ships, Commanding Officer of the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) Unit at Southern University and A&M College, and Deputy Director of the U.S. Navy’s Enlisted Personnel Plans & Career Policy Division. Jeffrey attended the U.S. Naval Academy, where he distinguished himself by becoming the first African-American in school history elected Co-Captain of Navy’s varsity football team, and the first African-American football player from Navy to be selected as a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division One All-American.
