NOVA Veterans Association Offers Veteran Collaborative Meeting Open to All

Manassas, VA – Local nonprofit Northern Virginia Veterans Association announces veteran networking event for upcoming membership meeting. “All are welcome to attend our membership meetings,” said Angela McConnell, founder and President/CEO of NOVA Veterans. “This quarter, we are trying something new for our membership meetings.”

Each NOVA Veterans membership meeting typically has a theme with partner members as guest speakers that match that theme. Next month will be an open networking event dubbed ‘Veteran Collaborative.’

IMAG1805The Northern Virginia Veterans Association was established in Prince William County, however operates throughout Northern Virginia.  After receiving 501(C)3 status in March 2015, they celebrated with a launch party at Harris Pavilion in Historic Downtown Manassas on Armed Forces Day that year. Recently celebrating their first anniversary, NOVA Veterans has a distinct mission of supporting our local veterans and families through coordination of services and case management called their Veteran Quality of Life Cycle, until all needs are met.

Services. “Not only because of the warm welcome and the friendly faces but it’s the one place I go where I know I will see and meet others who are also dedicated to finding ways to better serve the Veterans living in our area.”

“ACTS is proud to be partnering with NOVA Veterans Association.” said Steven G. Liga, MSW, LSW, LCADC, CPS, CCS; ACTS Executive Director. “Many of our staff are veterans, so this partnership is especially meaningful.

“Working toward the launch our joint Vet2Vet project in the coming months has been a rewarding experience.  The response from the community for the project has been tremendous.” Liga continued.
