November and December Performances at the Hylton Center

The Hylton Performing Arts Center released  its schedule of performances for November and December 2018. Tickets for these and other events are available at

November’s lineup begins with the Hylton Family Series debut of Mutts Gone Nuts, a family-friendly one-of-a-kind comedy dog-thrill show on Nov. 11. On Nov. 13, Virginia Opera offers a luncheon and recital by the talented young singers in the Herndon Foundation Emerging Artists Program as part of the Matinee Idylls series. Hylton Presents resumes with Aquila Theatre’s production of the beloved Shakespeare tale, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, on Nov. 17. Chanticleer’s concert of seasonal favorites will be held on Nov. 25. The American Roots Series closes the month’s programming on Nov. 30 with a jazz and swing show by The White House Band.

The Hylton Presents schedule continues Dec. 7 with the annual holiday concert and sing-along presented by the American Festival Pops Orchestra. Just a few days later, the Vienna Boys Choir performs seasonal masterpieces and contemporary favorites, on Dec. 9. To conclude, on Dec. 16, the acclaimed quintet Canadian Brass brings its impeccable playing and witty repartee in a program of brass standards, jolly music, and clever banter.
