Occoquan Woodbridge Lorton VFD responds to Town House Fire

Woodbridge, VA April 13, 2014 10:06 a.m. – Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Firefighters responded to the report of a townhouse fire at 3511 Covered Bridge Ln.  Initial units arrived on scene within minutes and reported smoke showing from the roof.   Upon entry firefighters encountered significant fire consuming part of the second floor and the entire attic. The fire was under control in less than 20 minutes. Minor extension to 3509 was discovered and extinguished.

No residence were in the home at the time; one dog was located and saved. American Red Cross was called and assisted the occupants with temporary housing. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Fire and Rescue units from OWL VFD, Dale City VFD, PWCDF&R and PWC PD responded to the incident.
