On Saturday, Nov. 4, Old Bridge Chamber Orchestra (“OBCO”) will kick off its 20th Anniversay Season with A Nacht with Mozart at Grace United Methodist Church, 9750 Wellington Road, Manassas. On the program are some of Mozart’s most beloved favorites – Overture to Don Giovanni, Concertone in C Major, and Symphony No. 41 (“Jupiter”).
The Concertone features guest violin soloists marcolivia, an award-winning violin and violin/viola duo who appears frequently on NPR’s “Performance Today” and “Front Row Washington.” They are regular guest artists at the Tokyo College of Music, Japan, and have performed for the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C. at the Cosmos Club, and annually at the Phillips Collection (where they are included on several CDs of Series Highlights and Distinguished Performers). They also have been heard at the Kennedy Center, Strathmore, Merkin Hall, and Symphony Space, NYC. Marcolivia regularly adjudicate and give master classes for events organized by the Washington Performing Arts Society.
“We are tremendously excited to bring marcolivia and Mozart to Manassas,” says OBCO Board President and Concertmistress Sheyna Burt. “This promises to be an exciting evening for audience and performers alike.”
