Online registration is now available to enroll children in kindergarten. Children who will be five years old on or before Sept. 30, 2020, are eligible to enroll in kindergarten in Prince William County Public Schools for the 2020-21 school year. Parents may use the Find Your School site to locate the school their child will attend.

Parents whose students are currently enrolled in any PWCS preschool program (preschool or special education) do not need to complete the online kindergarten registration process. Instead, once schools re-open, contact the school registrar where their student will attend for kindergarten for the 2020-21 school year.

Find information and instructions on kindergarten enrollment and online registration here.

Please note that the timeline for registration may take longer than usual. Your patience and support are appreciated during this time.

In-person verification will still be required via presentation of the student’s birth certificate (original or a certified copy). Dates and locations for this, and for any in-person registration opportunities, will be determined.

Children who speak or understand a language other than American English should plan to participate in an English language evaluation. Information on evaluations scheduled through the Global Welcome Centers (formerly Central Registration Services) will be provided when available.
