Open Space Arts Seeking Student Actors for Juneteenth Performance

Open Space Arts is seeking high school students across Prince William County with a passion for acting and the performing arts. Participants will take part in a unique recitation aimed at celebrating Juneteenth through and the importance of a society’s ability to freely express themselves. This performance will be directed by former Broadway actor and director Herb Williams, who is bringing over 30 years of experience in the performing arts industry to this impactful production. The event, Freedom Notes: A Juneteenth Contribution Campaign, will be held on June 22, 2024. A rehearsal will be held at 4:30 p.m. that day; the performance follows at 6 p.m. Rehearsal and performance take place at Open Space Arts, 15000 Potomac Town Place #140, Woodbridge.

What You Need to Know:

  • Looking for high school students who love to act and want to participate in a unique recitation event.

  • Rehearsal: Only one rehearsal required on the day of the event, starting at 4:30 p.m.

  • Preparation: You’ll receive your parts weeks before the event to memorize your lines.

  • Performance: Show off your talent and contribute to our Juneteenth celebration, starting at 6 p.m.
