Rock N BerryGainesville, VA (August 7, 2013) – Get ready to say goodbye to humdrum frozen yogurt and hello to 18 flavors of top-quality frozen yogurt at Rock-n-Berry Premium Froyo, soon to open at The Marketplace at Madison Crescent.

Charlie Audi, owner of the successful Brooklyn Brothers Pizzeria at the Marketplace, has long been working on his idea of opening a frozen yogurt shop next door to his popular restaurant. And what could be better after a hot, cheesy pizza than an ice-cold cup of frozen yogurt?

Audi  says his business plan for Rock-n-Berry is, “Giving great customer service while keeping prices as low as possible.” The shop will offer 18 flavors of premium, high-quality frozen yogurt supplied by a farm, and more than 50 toppings.

What Audi hopes will set Rock-n-Berry apart from other frozen yogurt shops will be its appearance. Audi says it’s not going to be “plain Jane … it’s going to be beautiful, elegant, with nice lighting.” Indeed, self-service dispensing machines will be ensconced in a rock wall. And, unlike shops where everything is always sticky, Audi wants Rock-n-Berry to be immaculate. Speaking about his pizzeria, Audi said, “We keep everything clean and looking good. It draws the average person to keep coming back.” His formula for success in this area includes hiring local high school kids. Local kids have more of an investment in the community and are more likely to tell their friends to come try the food, and more likely to take pride in the appearance of their workplace. The shop, expected to open early next month, will have about 20 indoor seats, and some outdoor seating is also planned.

Audi, who runs the pizzeria along with his cousin, says that Rock-n-Berry is also a family project: the snazzy logo of a smiling strawberry wearing sunglasses was created by his 12-year-old daughter, Jordan. Pictures of the logo and the progress of the construction can be seen on Rock-n-Berry’s Facebook page.
