Members of the Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program at Osbourn Park High School were invited to the White House to perform a ceremonial Color Guard for Chief Petty Officer Arthur Johnson’s Commissioning Ceremony to Chief Warrant Officer. Johnson is a parent of a student at Osbourn Park.

LCDR J.S. Ogawa, senior naval science instructor at Osbourn Park, said that German Chancellor Angela Merkel was visiting at the White House while the students were there. They saw National Security Advisor John Bolton, as well as Ivanka Trump, and had their pictures taken with Vice President Michael Pence.

“It was a great experience for the cadets,” Ogawa said.
