Valentine’s Day Events

Head to Manassas Park Community Center for their annual Father-Daughter Dance!  All participants may bring their parents or favorite guardian. African-American History Month

Celebrate African American History Month at historic Lucasville School during open house weekends in February. Visit the reconstructed 19th century school used by the community of Lucasville. Learn surprising facts of African American history in Prince William County and throughout the Northern Virginia region. Each weekend enjoy a different activity in the schoolhouse, including activities, crafts and exhibits. The Arts

All aboard for this Mystery Dinner Theater! It’s 1930 and passengers board the Manassas Express for a leisurely trip to points south. It’s not a pleasant trip for everyone when one of the passengers meets an untimely end, causing mayhem to ensue. On the Manassas Express, it’s an evening of food and fun while you try to solve the mysterious murder before the destination is reached. Come dressed to stun in 1930s garb and you may get a part in the show and a chance to be honored with the title “Ace Detective.” Ticket price includes a four course dinner. Travel back to the swinging Big Band era with Northern Virginia’s favorite jazz ensemble as they celebrate the jazz greats of the 20th century in a high energy concert. In Ellington, Basie, and Bird, Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra performs a program that features the music of Charlie (Bird) Parker in honor of the 100th anniversary of his birth, as well as Count Basie and D.C.’s own Duke Ellington.
