It’s Wednesday and we’re Over the Hump! Now that we are slowly edging back to “normal,” we’re returning to give you the events happening in the area each weekend. For now, we’ll be here two times a month. Here are some of the events happening locally the next few weekends.

Dinosaurs!

Dinosaurs are coming to the area through the “Jurassic Encounter!” It features 11 outdoor dino environments on a self-guided digital journey. There’s also a digital scavenger hunt. Old Town Manassas Arts & Crafts Fair

The Old Town Manassas Arts & Crafts Fair is being offered in lieu of the World Heritage Festival, originally scheduled for this date. Pumpkin Patch at Yankey Farms

Dale City Farmers Market

The market will open on Sundays at the Prince William County Pfitzner Stadium Complex. Traffic signs will be in place to you move quickly through the market, while maintaining social distancing regulations. McCall Studio Gallery Opening Exhibit Reception

Opening Exhibit Reception featuring artist Jess Hedem’s “nature paintings and watercolors” art show! She uses 3D elements in her oil paintings, and psychology drives her. Brentsville Bluegrass Concert

Bring your chairs, kick up your heels and enjoy some Bluegrass and BBQ at the Brentsville Courthouse public lot. Before the concert starts, self-guided tours of the grounds will be available. Music will be provided by Skystone Bluegrass Band. Food and beverage will be available for purchase from USA BBQ. Gates will open at 4:00 p.m. and the concert will be from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.. Pre-purchased tickets are required: 703-365-7895. Ghost Walks Programs

Historic Dumfries Virginia is hosting two Ghost Walks programs: “Return to the Shadows” and “Locked Inside” every Saturday in October (Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31). At 7:00 p.m., participants will hear spooky tales of ghostly occurrences during the outdoor walking tour of haunted locations near the Weems-Botts Museum. At 11:00 p.m., participants will go into the historic house to investigate for paranormal activity with an experienced and knowledgeable guide. Tickets: historicdumfriesva.org/purchase-tickets/. Hylton on the Hill

Head to the Hylton Performing Arts Center and visit their outdoor venue, Hylton on the Hill. Purchase tickets at hyltoncenter.org. (Prior to your arrival, all visitors must complete the Mason COVID Health✓™.) Charm City Junction performs on Sunday, Oct. 4 and Ranky Tanky performs on Sunday, Oct. 11.
