It’s Wednesday and we’re Over the Hump! We’re here twice a month to give you the events happening in the area each weekend. Fall is here and festivals and Halloween celebrations are everywhere! Here are just a few of the events happening locally the next two weekends.

Fix-It Fair

Keep Prince William Beautiful (KPWB) and the County Solid Waste Division will hold a Fix-It Fair on Saturday. Fix-It events provide the opportunity for members of the community to bring salvageable items for repair and subsequent reuse. Repair work appointments and pre-registration are required. County residents can visit kpwb.org/events to sign up for an appointment. Saturday, Oct. 17, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. | Connaughton Plaza, 1 County Complex Ct., Woodbridge

All are welcome to attend and enjoy free family and pet friendly activities including a pet parade/costume contest, animal rescues, pet-friendly exhibitors, lure course for dogs (some breeds prohibited for safety reasons), children’s entertainment, store discounts, prizes, and much more. Pet photo booth donations will benefit the Prince William SPCA. All pets in attendance must be leashed.
