It’s Wednesday and we’re over the hump! We’re here twice a month to give you the events happening in the area each weekend. Here are just a few of the events happening locally the next two weekends.

Ice Skating

Weather permitting, Stonebridge’s ice rink is open! Pricing starts at $9.00 for kids, seniors, and military. Skate rental and skate aid is also available. Farmers Market

The City of Manassas Farmers Market will be held at the Harris Pavilion on Saturdays this winter. Saturdays, 9:00 am. to 1:00 p.m. | Harris Pavilion, 9201 Center St., Manassas

Occoquan Chocolate Fest

The Occoquan Chocolate Fest runs through Feb. 14. The event offers tours and demonstrations with Occoquan merchants and a special edition Occoquan Chocolate Gift Box is available for purchase. Runs through Sunday, Feb. 14 | Online and Historic Occoquan

My Funny Valentine Party

Bingo at Tucked Away Brewing

Come have some socially distanced F-U-N playing B-I-N-G-O! Free to play and prizes to win! Lucasville School Open House

Celebrate African American History Month at historic Lucasville School during our open house weekends in February. Visit the reconstructed 19th century school used by the community of Lucasville.  Learn surprising facts of African American history in Prince William County and throughout the Northern Virginia region. No more than five people will be allowed in the school at one time and masks are required. Mardi Gras Celebration

Everyday Full of Work: The African-American Experience at Ben Lomond

Explore the historic home and the original slave quarter to learn about the enslaved population living at Ben Lomond in the years before the Civil War. Visit spaces not ordinarily open to the public and experience the interactive virtual reality exhibit in the Ben Lomond Slave Quarters. Learn about some of the chores that enslaved men, women, and children, were expected to complete, as well as the lives of the enslaved community.
