It’s Wednesday and we’re over the hump! We’re here twice a month to give you the events happening in the area each weekend. Here are just a few of the events happening locally the next few weekends.

Oh! Market International Food Festival

The Oh! Market International Food Festival will feature a variety of free food tastings from various vendors, and represent cuisine from Korea, China, Japan, Jamaica, Vietnam, Guatemala, El Salvador, Mexico, India, and more. In addition to vendors, Oh! Market’s mini food court will be open. This includes K-Bop’s Korean dishes, sushi from Wasabiko, and Mexican-fusion dishes from Taco-Chinoz. Manassas Bee Festival

Come enjoy the Inaugural Manassas Bee Festival. There will be live music, mead and beer garden, and food trucks. The full schedule includes a family spelling bee challenge, games, arts, crafts, activity workshops, porch talks, a native plant display, beehive demonstrations, butterfly houses, and local vendors. Walk the nature trail or bring a chair and blanket to enjoy the park. Ribbon cutting for the Liberia House native gardens and proclamation for Bee City USA designation at 12:00 noon! Weems-Botts Bibliophiles: Dystopia

Historic Dumfries Virginia is excited to announce “The Weems-Botts Bibliophiles” via Zoom. The Executive Director will host this virtual presentation, navigating participants through various dystopian worlds, ranging from classic to modern literature. Travel during the discussion that heads into these realms to learn more about the genre and take inspiration from the imaginary. Fourth of July Celebrations

The Dale City Independence Day Parade and Family Fun Day is a long-standing tradition. The Dale City Civic Association and ten other organizations partner to put on one of the best parades in the county! Saturday, July 3, 10:00 a.m. | Dale Boulevard. Dale City

Celebrate America in Historic Downtown Manassas! The Harris Pavilion will feature photos from the community house decorating contests from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. There will be a Bicycle Decorating Contest, food concessions and novelty vendors in the streets and parking lots surrounding the Manassas Visitor’s Center and the Harris Pavilion. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and come early to get the best seats on the Manassas Museum Lawn for the firework display at 9:15 p.m.! In Manassas Park, the Fourth of July celebration is back at Signal Hill Park for a fireworks display you won’t want to miss! There will be a variety of food trucks, games, and more. Farmers Markets

The City of Manassas Farmers Market will be held at the Harris Pavilion on Saturdays. Saturdays, 9:00 am. to 1:00 p.m. | Harris Pavilion, 9201 Center St., Manassas

The Dale City Farmers Market is a producer-only market, meaning all products must be grown or made by the seller. Sundays, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. | Dale City Commuter Lot, Dale Boulevard & Gemini Way, Dale City

The Haymarket Farmers Market is now open on Sundays. Sundays, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. | 15000 Washington St., Haymarket
