It’s Wednesday and we’re over the hump! We’re here twice a month to give you the events happening in the area each weekend. Here are just a few of the events happening locally the next two weekends.

Trivia Night in the Park

Test your knowledge during outdoor trivia nights in the park! Play six rounds of seasonally themed brain busters for your chance to win the $100 gift card Grand Prize! Bring your team, camp chairs or blankets, and enjoy your very own socially-distanced picnic circle. One 10-foot circle can accommodate up to six team members. Haymarket Day

Haymarket’s biggest event of the year! Attended by over 20,000 spectators and 200 vendors.  Enjoy a home town street festival including a parade featuring local schools, performers, and law enforcement, led by this year’s Grand Marshal. Special Effects Makeup – Halloween

Just in time for Halloween. Come see exactly how cuts, bruises, scars and all sorts of Special Effects are done for movies and TV. A fun and realistic time with a theatrical and effects local makeup artist.  Purchase of personal makeup kits is in the cost of program. PetOberfest 2021

All are welcome to attend and enjoy free family and pet friendly activities including a pet parade/costume contest, a lure course, an agility course, pet-friendly exhibitors, children’s entertainment, store discounts, prizes, and much more.  Pet photo booth donations will benefit the Prince William SPCA.  All pets in attendance must be leashed.  Hosted by Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center. Fall Family Fun Night

Bring the family out for a night of fun, games, s’mores, a hayride around the park, and more! The program fee covers one s’mores kit per person. Crafts n Drafts

Head to Manassas Mall – Macy’s parking lot –  for the Crafts -n- Drafts Fall Fest! It promises to be a fun-filled day, featuring food trucks and a showcase of the very best local artists, crafters, and makers – for a curated, outdoor craft shopping experience with all the fall feels! Virtual Halloween Tea

Historic Dumfries Virginia is excited to announce a virtual Halloween program! The Executive Director will host a virtual tea sharing the history of scary monsters, spooky lore and stories, and great Halloween planning tips – from games to recipes! Karaoke in the Park

Grab the mic and belt out a tune with your neighbors. Occoquan is excited to host its first Karaoke Night. Family Fun Day

All Hallow’s Eve Candlelight Tours at Brentsville Courthouse

Brentsville has a diverse and dramatic history, as it served as the county seat for nearly 100 years. During this time, many strange and scary events have happened here, and many say that ghosts of long dead men and women still haunt the area.  Come experience a spirited night as you explore the grounds by candlelight and hear tales of sadness and triumph at Brentsville. Hocus Pocus in the Park

Trunk or Treat at Park Valley Church
