It’s Wednesday and we’re over the hump. That means we’re looking forward to local weekend events right here in Prince William, Manassas, and Manassas Park.

Prince William Events

Shopping and lunch at Grace Lutheran Church on Saturday at their first annual Christmas Market! Handmade crafts, quilt raffle, and more. Proceeds to benefit the Salvation Army Angel Tree program. Come experience Christmas 1862 at the Stone House on Route 29 in the Manassas National Battlefield Park. Manassas Events

Santa Lights Manassas, also known as the Tree Lighting, has been a fixture in the Manassas community for over 25 years! Santa arrives at the Manassas Depot on the VRE train shortly after 6:00 p. m. After Santa lights the tree, he greets all the children and listens to their holiday wishes at the Harris Pavilion gazebo. Families can visit the Manassas Museum and store, as well as enjoy free wagon rides to get into the holiday spirit. The Harris Pavilion Ice Rink will be open for business as well as the downtown shops and restaurants. Friday, Nov. 30, starting at 5:15 p. m. | Historic Downtown Manassas

Head back to Historic Downtown Manassas on Saturday morning for the 73rd Annual Greater Manassas Christmas Parade. Dec. 1, 10:00 a. m. | Historic Downtown Manassas

Carriage rides in Historic Downtown Manassas will take place the next three Sunday afternoons from 1:00-4:00 p. m. The rides will begin at the Historic Manassas Visitors Center and travel through Downtown before returning to the Visitors Center. Manassas Park Events

Chorale Concerts

Take your pick of any one of the three choral concerts on Saturday night, all featuring holiday music! The Manassas Chorale presents its “Silver Noel” concert, the New Dominion Choraliers present “It’s Time for Mistletoe and Holly,” and the Woodbridge Community Choir presents “Hope of Christmas-Celebrating the Child.” All concerts Saturday, Dec. 1.
