It’s Wednesday and we’re Over the Hump! That means we’re looking forward to weekend events in Prince William. This weekend, there are a number of St. Patrick’s Day festivities:
Family Fun
Join the Prince William County Historic Preservation team as they make traditional Irish cuisine (Irish Cottle, Ham Cabbage, Potatoes and Irish Soda Bread). Join Cabela’s and PWC Parks staff as they search for Lucky Leprechauns and their pot of gold at Silver Lake Park. Cabela’s will be instructing in the sport of Orienteering (navigating with maps and a compass) while on the search. Crafts, games, and stories by the campfire. $5 per person. Fitness
The St. Patrick’s Day 5k will be held at Old Hickory Golf Club on Saturday. The course runs along the cart paths. The race will finish back at the clubhouse, where there will be hot breakfast for post-race celebration. Participants over 21 will have a cold beer waiting for them at the finish line.
