Physical Fitness
Burpees for A21: Human Trafficking, unfortunately, happens everywhere. A21 is an organization that fights to free people from the bonds of slavery. For every dollar donated to A21, the coaches at Woodbridge Fit Body Boot Camp will do a burpee. Each coach will do as many burpees as there are dollars in their jar. Come for the burpees and for sample 10-minute boot camp sessions, fun DJ music, refreshments, raffle ticket prizes including three month free membership, T-shirts giveaway, and more! AIM Human Performance is offering a self-defense for runners class on Saturday afternoon. This class is taught by first degree black belt and personal trainer Chris Viggiano and his wife, Michelle. They have been teaching this course throughout Northern Virginia for the last 10 years and have helped educate many on how to avoid becoming a victim. Outdoor Fun
Every year on the weekend prior to July 4th, Tim’s Rivershore hosts a professionally managed fireworks show, launched from a barge in the Potomac River. Guests should plan to come early to secure a table at the Tiki Bar, outdoor seating area, or on the beach. Multiple shuttle buses will be running from Pope John Paul the Great Catholic High School, where there is plenty of parking. The Town of Haymarket is presenting the first annual Stars & Stripes Car Concert, Car Show & Children’s Parade. Activities will include a children’s parade, vintage cars, live music, food and ice cream vendors, summer games and community fun. All children are encouraged to decorate wagons, scooters, unicycles, tricycles or any other non-motorized play vehicle in festive Fourth of July decor for the Children’s parade.
