It’s Wednesday and we’re over the hump. That means we’re looking forward to events for this first weekend of 2019 right here in Manassas and Prince William.

Country Music, Artwork, Beer, Ballroom Dance

Whiskey Wildfire appears at Club Eclipse on Friday night. With the bite of whiskey and the rage of a wildfire, Whiskey Wildfire delivers a new country one-two punch with Danielle Shaw and Chris Violette on vocals. Covering musical stylings ranging from Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean to Miranda Lambert and Taylor Swift, Whiskey Wildfire plays current country radio hits. Friday, Jan. 4, 9:00 p. m. | Club Eclipse, 5615 Wellington Road, Suite 101, Gainesville

On Saturday afternoon, check out the open house for the 15th Annual Off the Wall competition. Each year, local high school students are invited to showcase their talent by participating in an art competition. The exhibition includes student work from the following categories: Visual Art, Poetry, Wearable Art, and our STEAM influenced category, Art & Technology (think 3D prints and digital designs). Saturday, Jan. 5, 2:00-4:00 p. m. | Center for the Arts, 9419 Battle Street, Manassas

Join Brew Republic Bierwerks every Sunday for #SundayFunday (patent pending), starting at 12:00 noon, for Sunday comfort food, pro sports on the tvs, board games, hot and BBQ chicken wings, $5 mimosas, and of course, beer! Sunday, Jan. 6, starting at 12:00 p. m. | Brew Republic Bierwerks, 15201 Potomac Town Place, Woodbridge

Return to Center for the Arts for a Sunday Ballroom Dance. Arrive at 3:30 p. m. for a lesson in Merengue, followed by an open dance session from 4:00-6:00 p. m. Ice Skating – All Winter Long

The Harris Pavilion, in the center of Historic Downtown Manassas, transforms every winter into a beautiful ice rink perfect for family and friends outings. Featuring premium lighting and music to skate by, the rink is just a one-minute walk from the Manassas Train Depot and the VRE parking garage. Winter Farmers Market

Your Farmers Market is still going through the winter. We have craft vendors, a coffee vendor, Rainbow Acres Farm (eggs and meat), 7 Acres Farm, Great Harvest Bread, Redfox creations, Tanas Kitchen, Happy Family Ranch, and more. It will be smaller than the prime Market but just as good. SNAP Still accepted. Saturdays through March 16, 8:00 a. m. – 1:00 p. m. | 9024 Prince William Street, Manassas
